As Headteacher of Portway Infant School, I am delighted to introduce you to our school. We hope that our website gives you a flavour of what we do, so please enjoy your visit. It is our aim at Portway for every child to feel valued and cared for by providing a happy and secure school environment where the focus is on high quality teaching and learning.

We have an excellent team of teachers and support staff and together we are all very proud of our pupils’ achievements. Our vision statement endorses what we believe:-“We will encourage every child to strive for excellence and to develop moral values within a stimulating and supportive learning environment.” We see Portway as a community and the relationship between home and school as an important partnership within this community.

Throughout their time at Portway our children are encouraged to develop high moral and spiritual values, to be tolerant and respect and appreciate the feelings of others. Whilst helping the children to work with others and to behave responsibly we want them to enjoy today and to prepare for tomorrow.
