On Saturday we hosted our first workshop of the year, with some of our Year 2 children and their families.  The weather was glorious and it really felt like spring.

We had a number of activities using tools on offer, including making their own double hand drum out of hazel from the school grounds.  Creating their own wooden Easter egg and making their own stick man by drilling out elder.

Families were also free to explore the woodland and our Forest School site taking part in activities that suited their interests.

We came together for the last hour, lighting the fire and toasting hot cross buns which we enjoyed with a cup of hot chocolate, it was delicious.
