  • Cosy Club with Miss Lockett15:15 - 16:15Dear Parents, We will be offering a range of extra-curricular after school clubs next half term for children in Years 1 and 2. Some clubs have limited numbers to maintain the safety and enjoyment of the children attending that club. Please complete the Google form via the email you received to select three choices in order of preference by Friday 17 October. Extra-curricular after school clubs Google Form Each child will be allocated one of their choices and an invitation with more specific club details will be sent home. This will include information about where to collect your child from at the end of the club. These clubs are all free of charge for all children. After School Clubs will run 3.15 – 4.15pm. Autumn term clubs will run from the week beginning 3rd November up to and including 28th November. Those children attending PortwayPlus+ will be taken to their club by their classteacher and taken to PortwayPlus+ at the end of the club by the club teacher. Some clubs have limited numbers to maintain the safety and enjoyment of the children attending that club. Please complete the Google form via the email you received to select three choices in order of preference by Friday 17 October.   • Pre-loved Toy & Book Sale09:00 - 10:00When the cost of living crisis hit three years ago we introduced a hugely successful Pre-loved Christmas Sale and so, for the fourth year running, it’s here! Friday 21st November 9.00am & 2.30pm This popular event also supports our Sustainability Plan in preventing unwanted toys going into landfill. The children from both our School Council and our Eco Council will be encouraging their classmates to support their drive to re-love things and not throw them away! In addition to the pre-loved gifts the sale also includes brand new books for £1, discounted new toys, crafts and Christmas Annuals. Time for a clear out! Do you have any unwanted new or nearly new toys and gifts sitting on a shelf unused? Do you have any toys the children played with for five minutes and didn’t touch again? Would you rather see them loved and enjoyed? Then please pass them on and we’ll find them a new home for Christmas. If you can find some time this half term holiday to have a pre-Christmas clear out we’d love to sell them on at the Christmas gift sale on Friday 21st November in the school hall from 9.00am and again at 2.30pm. Any monies raised will go to our School & Eco Councils (who will help organise and run the sale) for the children to decide how they want to spend the money they have raised. A donation will also be made to the FoodBank towards the Christmas boxes they put together for children across Andover. We would love any new or nearly new toys, books in good condition, any unwanted gifts for adults eg unopened toiletries, candles, books etc Please bring any donations to the infant school office anytime after half term. Any unsold items will be taken to the local charity Andover Community Engage.
